After Mass, we went to Target for some necessities (mostly) and then stopped at the donut store for the promised snack. Once home, it was snack time and it was thundering. So, after snack, they played in the boys' room while I relaxed and watched a bit of tv! The boys were greatly disappointed that we would not swim while it was thundering and the thunder and rain continued through lunch. Richard came home for lunch and everyone ate and got ready for naps.
During naptime, I graded papers like a woman possessed. I had taken a lighter day on Wednesday, so I had to make up for it on Thursday. I still had 8 left to grade when Ruth called out for me to come and get her. After snacks, it was more playing and then we did some reading. Once Richard was home from work, the boys went swimming and then Richard took the kids out for dinner so I could finish my grading. I hit a snag when one paper was seemed suspicious and I ran it through the plagiarism checker. Suspicion confirmed - this requires me to go through about 10 different steps to inform the student and turn the matter over to the instructor. I finished just as everyone was getting home and it was time to get everyone ready for bed.
Today, we got a bit of a later start because I needed to pay bills and get the laundry sorted. It is nice not to have to do laundry so often so that Luke will have clean uniform shorts! Luke took his 2nd spelling test this morning and worked on writing sentences about his baptism. Paul worked on writing his letters (his pencil grip and "confidence" is really improving) and then worked on his "Teach Me Kindergarten" app on the iPad. Ruth might not be feeling well as she seems to just want to sit in her high chair and watch Caillou...this is odd for her to demand to do this and to sit there for so long. We are about to clean up and vacuum the floor before we move onto swimming.
I'm looking forward to the weekend so I can re-group!
